Active Aerodynamics In Action On A Formula SAE Racecar

Our own Madhu Valikkodath’s old Formula SAE team from the University of Texas Arlington created this race car for the 2013 racing season. The car uses active aerodynamics to aid in the cornering ability of the car. With a limited budget and a one year development constraint, the students built this racecar weighing in at about 400 lbs, and running on a single-cylinder 450cc motorcycle engine.
